Job Duties

The Director of Institutional Research and Planning will develop, analyze and interpret institutional data and provide summaries, recommendations and reports to support decision making and the university's strategic initiatives. The individual will develop and maintain a database of information on students, academic courses, human resources, university finances, peer institutions and national data sources. The role coordinates with the senior leadership of the university to support strategic planning, internal decision making, and external accountability.

Job Qualifications

Master's degree in social or behavioral sciences, education economics, statistics or other quantitative oriented discipline required.

Three years of progressively more responsible research experience, preferably in areas related to education, government, public policy, not-for-profit organizations, applied research, or financial analysis preferred.

Institution Description

Founded in 1897, Langston University is comprised of three campuses located in Langston, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa. The Langston campus offers programs such as biology, chemistry, nursing, urban education, international studies, goat research, physical therapy (a doctoral program) and biotechnology. Today the university offers 38 degree programs that are housed in six schools and serve over 2500 students annually. The University operates under the guidance of the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges Board of Regents. Urban campuses in Tulsa and Oklahoma City also are directed by a Board of Trustees.
