Institutional Research Analyst

Job Duties

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Institutional Research Analyst for the Planning, Budget and Analysis department. This position performs varied institutional research and analyst activities necessary for the development and provision to the university administrators and managers of information needed for making informed management and policy decisions and to provide support to the Director of Institutional Analysis in fulfillment of program goals and objectives. Incumbent is responsible for development and compilation of statistical data for use in preparation of internal and external reports, surveys, and requests and development and maintenance of documentation of study designs and procedures to ensure consistency in results.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of related work experience or a Master’s Degree from an accredited institution and one (1) year of related experience

Skill requirements: SQL for database management (MySQL), MS Excel/Access

Related Experience:

Data Management:  Proficiency in MS Office (including demonstrated experience with Access and Excel), querying/extraction of information from student matriculation system (Peoplesoft), data warehouse (Oracle), and other student-related data bases.
