Job Duties

Gettysburg College seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Director of Institutional Analysis. This position supports institutional decision-making, policy-formation, strategic planning, and outcomes assessment by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on a wide variety of institutional data. Specifically, the Assistant Director assists in organizing and managing a comprehensive program of institutional research and assessment. This program includes, but is not limited to: maintaining longitudinal databases, conducting regular and ad hoc survey research, supporting assessment of student learning, and reporting to external agencies.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in an appropriate social science or quantitative discipline required, with a minimum of two years of progressive work experience providing a working knowledge of higher education data resources, reporting procedures, survey research, and assessment methods. A solid understanding of statistical analysis packages (SPSS or SAS) and Microsoft Excel is required. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the ability to work as a team player, to maintain a high level of confidentiality, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, to maintain a high level of accuracy, and to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals.
