Job Duties

Primary Duties to Include:

Collaborate with end users to define and capture reporting requirements

Develop new reports based on user requirements

Write queries to extract data from operational and warehouse data sources

Modify and maintain existing report catalog

Monitor performance of reports

Increase the efficiency of existing reports through data consolidation and data analysis

Validate reports and query results to ensure accuracy and quality

Provide technical support and troubleshoot reporting system issues

Produce documentation for new and modified reports

Create and manage user accounts

Define system folders and access levels

Participate in system upgrades

Experience with Oracle databases and SQL is required.

Job Qualifications

Preference may be given to those who possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and experience in higher education. Three years of working experience with Oracle databases and SQL a must. Knowledge of or experience with Banner Student Information System and/or the Argos Reporting System. Prior report writing experience is also a plus.

The Office of Decision Support Services (DSS) maintains the University Data Warehouse and provides reporting services to the University community.  Our mission is to provide decision makers with accurate and timely information that enables informed decision making.

The Office of Decision Support Services is looking to recruit a Data Administrator for the Atlanta, GA campus. This is a Lead position that will support the increasing demand for operational reporting at the university.  This position will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and reporting data to all units across the campus.  The position requires an independent thinker capable of working in a collaborative team-oriented environment interacting with all levels of administration, faculty and staff.
