Job Duties

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management, the Enrollment Data Analyst will perform policy and data analysis, decision support, and predictive modeling related to admissions, financial aid, and retention initiatives in support of the Division of SEM. The successful candidate will: (1) evaluate the effectiveness of admissions and financial aid policies; (2) participate in the planning of the University’s annual enrollment and budget forecasting models in order to predict student yield, discounting, and net-tuition revenue; (3) analyze the impact of recruitment initiatives; (4) analyze admitted student yield and non-matriculation populations; (5) complete recruitment funnel analysis by region, inquiry source, major, etc. to ensure effective deployment of recruitment resources. This position will work closely with the Office of Institutional Reporting and Analysis Services.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, public or business administration, or related field
  • Experience in data analysis, program evaluation, or research (three to five years preferred)
  • Experience extracting data from multiple sources, merging that data, and finding/resolving inconsistencies (three to five years preferred)
  • Experience performing data quality analysis on datasets and reports (three to five years preferred)
  • Experience using BI visualization tools (three to five years preferred)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional quantitative skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate knowledge and ideas in a consultative matter to a variety of audiences including senior leadership

The University, founded in 1889, is located in the City of Greeley, which has a growing population of 100,000. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits available include health, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement plans. Dependents and spouses of UNC employees who are employed at 0.5 FTE or above are eligible for undergraduate dependent tuition grants of up to 50%. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.
