Job Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with campus constituents in the planning, implementation, and evaluations of surveys
  • Create and administer surveys and collect data, using methods such as interviews, questionnaires, focus groups, market analysis surveys, public opinion polls, literature reviews, and file reviews
  • Consult with campus stakeholders in order to identify survey needs and any specific requirements, such as special samples
  • Determine and specify details of survey projects, including sources of information, procedures to be used, and the design of survey instruments, and materials
  • Direct updates and changes in survey implementation and methods
  • Monitor, and evaluate survey progress and performance, using sample disposition reports and response rate calculations
  • Prepare and present summaries and analysis of survey data, including tables, graphs, and facts sheets that describe survey techniques and results
  • Produce documentation of the questionnaire development process, data collection methods, sampling designs, , and decisions related to sample statistical weighting
  • Support, plan, and coordinate operations for single or multiple surveys, in support of institutional strategic planning and annual assessment and evaluation efforts
  •  Analyze data from surveys, old records, and/or case studies, using statistical software programs and survey systems
  • Conduct research in order to gather information about survey topics
  • Conduct background research on survey topics
  • Plan, and design surveys and determine appropriate survey methods
  • Test surveys to make sure that people will understand the questions
  • Coordinate the work of survey interviews and data collectors
  • Account for, and solve problems caused by non respondents or other sampling issues
  • Analyze data using statistical software and techniques
  • Evaluate surveys, methods, and performance to improve future surveys
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of data collection, analysis, and report writing experience required.
