The Programmer Analyst for Institutional Research and Analysis constructs complex queries that are used to create predictive models, reports, and visualizations. This position integrates data from relational databases by leveraging software, such as Tableau,
Microsoft Access, and Business Objects. This incumbent leads projects designed to expand data availability for campus leaders by building self-service reports and dashboards. Additionally, this position contributes to the completion of university publications and reporting requirements.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, information technology, mathematics, or related field with minimum of 2 years of experience. Demonstrated technical expertise in Tableau, Microsoft Business Suite, SPSS, and/or Business Objects. Proven ability to construct relational databases and advanced programming abilities using SQL. Excellent skills in organization and communication.
Desired Qualifications: Experience with Ellucian Colleague is desired. Prior experience working in higher education data, particularly IT or Institutional Research is preferred. Also preferred is experience leading technology projects and working with quantitative data analysis and constructing predictive models.
