Develop and maintain institutional databases; analyze data to assess progress of institutional efforts; pro-actively identify and report information to support decision making. A full-time, 12 month position reporting to the Registrar and Director of Academic Operations.
Process, analyze, and communicate data to inform decision-making and improve effectiveness at the college. Ensure real-time student data is accurate in Jenzabar (the student information system) and readily available to the campus community for data-based decision-making. Develop and maintain a comprehensive collection of historical and current data reports. Respond to requests for information from internal and external sources, such as IPEDS, AICUO, ODHE, and HLC. Ensure the college is in compliance with all federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or other related field (Master’s degree preferred) with at least one year of business and/or ERP (Jenzabar preferred) related experience. Experience with Business Intelligence reporting tools, for example InfoMaker (preferred), MS Reporting Services, MS Excel, MS Access. Knowledge and experience working with databases, preferably in a higher education setting, creating custom reports, analyzing information for accuracy, moving information between databases and merging information with other desktop applications. Experience in the use of SQL, databases structures, survey software, and web design. Strong interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of groups—staff, faculty, students, alumni, etc, including the demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and inclusive community. Attention to detail, accuracy, and data confidentiality. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to support the mission of the college.
