Director of Assessment and Institutional Research

Job Duties

Reporting to the Dean of Faculty, the Director of Assessment and Institutional Research has direct responsibility for institutional research, campus-wide assessment (e.g., curricular, co-curricular, institutional), program review evaluation, and analytics. In addition, the Director is responsible for work related to the coordination and facilitation of the College’s reaffirmation process and serves as the Accreditation Liaison Officer. The Director has responsibility for designing and managing mechanisms and methodologies for the collection, analysis, storage, reconciliation, coordination, reporting, and analysis of institutional data so that it may be used effectively to enhance institutional decision-making, planning and compliance with regulations.

Job Qualifications

  • MA/MS in education, statistical analysis, research methodology, social sciences or related field, or any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities of the position, is required (Ph.D. preferred).
  • 5-7 years of related work experience in assessment, institutional research, institutional effectiveness, research design and implementation in a higher education setting, preferably in a private higher education institution.
  • Experience with accrediting agencies, preferably serving as an Accreditation Liaison Officer with the WASC Senior College and University Commission.
