Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Work Experience:

Minimum five years of responsible professional work experience in institutional research, data analysis, and/or academic effectiveness or equivalent.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills; must be proficient with common statistical and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Critical thinking: Must be able to evaluate data to proactively identify areas for ongoing improvement based on findings.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including databases, spreadsheets, online assessment software, survey tools, and analytics applications. Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to scanners, the internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Attention to detail, as work will be used to make campus-wide decisions with a wide range of impact.
  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills in handling, directing, and prioritizing multiple and complex assignments and projects with frequent deadlines, peak workloads, and public/student contact.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external constituencies in a professional manner, including articulating the institution’s planning, assessment, and effectiveness functions with clarity and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to make presentations of data/findings that are clear, visually appealing and with appropriate use of available data resources and technologies to meet informational needs of varied audiences.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respond professionally and courteously to common inquiries or concerns from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the community.
  • Passion for assisting stakeholders and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brands with positivity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a sensitive, highly confidential and professional environment with a high degree of integrity and ethical behavior.

 

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Analytics/Data Science, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Education or a related field that includes coursework in quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in one of the following: Analytics/Data Science, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Education or a related field that includes coursework in quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in higher education analytics.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner, Cognos reporting software, and Tableau or other data visualization software.

Institution Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Director provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of institutional research and planning, and significant support to campus assessment and accreditation activities. The position works closely with a broad range of internal and external constituents to carry out activities and ensure that results are incorporated into college planning and continuous improvement efforts.

The Senior Director is responsible for the development and dissemination of descriptive and analytical data related to academic and administrative programs, institutional and programmatic accreditation, institutional effectiveness, outcomes assessment and program review, and required local, state, federal, and accreditation reporting.
