ETL Database Analyst

Job Duties
- Work with the OIE staff to complete the transport of data to the data warehouse environment
- Team up with OIE staff to migrate and upgrade existing ETL scripts.
- Design and implement research projects using university and external data.
- Utilize data visualization to present complex information in interactive environments.
- Other duties as assigned by the Directors of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness or Institutional Research.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area or equivalent accelerated academic experience. Two years experience working with complex relational databases and data extraction or combination of education and equivalent job experience.
Computer Skills
Minimum requirements: At least two years of coding experience using SQL and with relational databases. Knowledge of powerbi preferred. Relevant degrees or certificates in computing or computer science.
Qualifications:
• Ability to work with complex relational databases
• Ability to code in SQL and similar languages
• Knowledge of data visualization techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work with complex relational databases including the student registration system, financial aid data, and faculty information files.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to transport data from current data structures to the enterprise data warehouse.
- Collect, extract and analyze data.
- Summarize research methodologies, analyses and results in reports for a wide array of audiences.
- Adept at working independently and managing assigned projects.
- Familiarity with large databases commonly used in academic environments.
