Job Duties
Responsibilities:
- Provides support for and develops grant projects; reviews grant proposals; and advises administrators, staff, and faculty on the development, writing, submission, and execution of grants to support instructional programs and other college activities.
- Assists the college in pursuing new funding opportunities, including grant proposal writing.
- Organizes and ushers LC State grant activities from inception through close-out, spanning pre-award and post-award phase activities.
- Maintains a grants information system to track and manage college-wide grant activity.
- Assists and supports senior administration with state and federal appropriation strategies related to grants including liaison with federal and state agencies and officials on grant issues.
- In consultation with supervisor, works with college offices/personnel to establish compliant facilities and administrative (F & A) "indirect cost" recovery rates.
- Serves as the point of contact for LC State training programs and professional development activities related to grant policies and procedures.
- Supports coordination of activities of consultants and/or contractors that are engaged, from time to time, by the college to develop proposals for new grants and grant extensions.
- Works closely with principal investigators, administrators, Budget Office, Controller's Office, and other division/department personnel to train and advise on procedures tracking accomplishment of grant goals, reporting time and effort and ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and federal regulations.
- Helps coordinate the work of the Grants Advisory Committee, comprised of stakeholders/experts drawn from internal and external units.
- Serves on key strategic planning and assessment committees.
- Assists in the development and delivery of grant support workshops.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience with working as part of a collaborative team
- Experience with data dashboards and use of data for program improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in relevant field from a regionally accredit institution strongly preferred
- Preference for a graduate degree that was awarded based upon a successful defense of a thesis (rather than an exit exam, comprehensive exam, portfolio or capstone project)
- Experience with any or all of the following:
- Working within an office of higher education
- Collaborative research teams
- Data analysis and interpretation
- Reporting to federal and state government agencies on behalf of the institution
- Structural query language (sql)
- Enterprise research planning (ERP) software or student information systems software in higher educational settings (e.g., Banner or Colleague)
