Minimum Job Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.   Knowledge of the methods and procedures used in quantitative and qualitative analysis using various computer software packages is required (MS Access, Excel, Argos, SPSS, SAS, or comparable).  Experience in higher education is preferred. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to communicate effectively , both orally and in writing 
  • Ability to analyze requests and communicate with users to clarify reporting needs; ability to translate & articulate printed specs and data requests into actionable and accurate query results; ability to extract, manipulate, modify, translate, or transform very large data sets to satisfy the specified requirements of an analysis or output
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or other programming languages
  • Broad knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to extract and analyze statistical data, including evaluate/troubleshoot/cross-validate data for quality/consistency, and to design tables, charts, and other visual representations of the data to most effectively communicate value with campus constituents  
  • General familiarity with survey administration best practices & procedures; ability to work with campus constituents in survey instrument design, administration, and survey reporting.

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed during normal work hours but may require evening and weekend hours to meet set deadlines
  • Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
