Manage the institutional research agenda including national benchmarking studies and locally-designed surveys. Coordinate and facilitate the design and administration of survey instruments. Lead data collection and analyses using both quantitative and qualitative techniques. Ensure regular, timely distributions of research briefs to the campus community.
Ensure Tableau dashboards are maintained and regularly updated. Collaborate with the Applications Team under the division of Information and Instructional Technology (IIT) to optimize data analytics procedures. Design, develop, and use predictive modeling, statistics, trend analysis and other data analysis techniques to enhance the data analytics function of PRIA.
Conceptualize and carry out the AVP’s vision for strategic priorities for data visualization, business intelligence solutions, and translating data into meaningful information and analytic insights.
Manage and regularly update the projects including, but not limited to, tracking the alignment of market demand and academic offering, efficiency and effectiveness use of institutional resources, and instructional activities to advance the growth of credit and non-credit programs and special programs.
Lend support to the AVP in the duties of informed institutional decision-making and overall data strategy development.
Develop and facilitate data-related professional development trainings. Serve on the Institutional Review Board.
Other duties may be assigned by the AVP.
Highly developed ability to coordinate complex research and analysis projects, utilizing appropriate statistical methodologies, predictive modeling, survey design, sampling strategies, and data visualization. Advanced knowledge of principles and practices for the development of informative written reports and compelling visualizations.
Experience in the field of institutional research. Expertise in utilizing relational databases, structured query language (SQL), statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Excel), and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Demonstrated experience working independently and collaboratively with diverse campus constituents. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Facilitation, project management, and change management experience, with a record of achieving impact and results. Excellent analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills.
Master's degree from an accredited college or university required, doctoral degree preferred.
Director of Research and Analytics will implement and manage operations and activities involved in the research, analysis, review, and interpretation of data to support student success, strategic planning, accreditation, and effective use of resources. Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President for Continuous Improvement and Innovation Analytics, the Director is primarily responsible for carrying out the institutional research agenda and leading Tableau dashboard production for the office.
