Job Duties
Southeastern Louisiana University's Office of Institutional Research invites applications for the position of Research Associate. The Research Associate position assists in providing information to aid data-informed decision-making at the department, program, and institution level. The position will also assist in completing mandated federal/state reporting, and other external requests.
Job Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in an analytical discipline with statistical/quantitative coursework from an accredited university
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. from an accredited university
One year of employment in a university institutional research setting Experience with PeopleSoft (or Workday), SPSS, and Tableau a plus
Familiarity with sampling methods, qualitative research methods, and survey methodology
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Demonstrated experience with at least one word processing application and at least one spreadsheet application
Familiarity with research design and statistical methods
Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn new skills on your own or through formal training.
