Loyola University Maryland has an opportunity for a self-motivated individual to serve as Research & Assessment Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research. The Office of Institutional Research consists of five professional staff and provides the option for remote working. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Institutional Research, the Research & Assessment Analyst assists in performing the collection, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of official university data to both external and internal constituencies. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Master's preferred) and at least 5-8 years of related work experience required.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience:

o Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline required, Master's degree preferred
o At least two years of experience with database management systems and data analysis
o Experience working in a college/university setting is desired but not required
· Technical Skills:
o Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
o Experience with Scantron, Qualtrics, or other similar survey platforms
o Experience with data visualization tools including Tableau
o Experience working with large datasets and a working knowledge of SPSS
o Experience with the Ellucian Colleague ERP system is desired but not required
· Problem-solving and Critical Thinking Skills:
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy
o Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve data analysis problems
o Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
o Excellent organizational skills
o Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and follow through all phases to completion
· Interpersonal Skills:
o Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
o Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
o Ability to apply tact and good judgment in dealing with all levels of university staff, administrators, and faculty
o Discretion in handling confidential information
