Job Duties

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for an Associate Institutional Planner. A valuable member of the Platteville Analytics & Institutional Reporting Services (PAIRS) Team, the Institutional Planner will work in partnership with other team members and campus stakeholders to realize the value and power of institutional data to inform strategy, answer critical questions, and tell compelling stories about how the University fulfills its mission. PAIRS operates with Collaboration, Trust, Innovation, Service, and Insight. PAIRS strives for Accuracy, Truth, Availability, Timeliness, and Security in its data products. The Institutional Planner will develop accurate and timely dashboards and reports, influence PAIRS products and platform decisions, and contribute to a developing culture of data literacy.

Responsibilities:

- Engage with other PAIRS Team members to improve data quality and analytics efficiency

- Engage with clients to analyze and summarize data about various aspects of the institution, discuss analytical and reporting needs

- Collects, analyzes, and researches institutional data according to established procedures and regulations

- Create reports that summarize data for a variety of audiences

- Respond to internal and external data requests of varying complexity

- Prepare and disseminate institutional statistical reports to institutional programs, working units and leadership as needed

- Support the execution of the Institutional strategic goals, participate in professional development, and perform other duties as assigned

- Develops, implements, monitors, and updates information systems and databases that manage, store, and retrieve institutional data according to established policies, procedures, and reporting regulations

- Collects, analyzes, and researches institutional data according to established procedures and regulations

- Prepares and disseminates institutional statistical reports to institutional programs, working units, and leadership as needed

- Serves as liaison and primary contact for internal and external stakeholders for institutional reporting and compliance, external surveys, and institutional statistics and data



Job Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

- 3-5 years’ experience managing, analyzing, and reporting data

- Expertise with analysis and reporting

- Work effectively in a hybrid/remote environment

- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Working knowledge of quantitative research methodology used in the collecting, compiling, organizing, and reporting of data and information

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty and staff

- Willingness to learn new methods and software packages
