The Assistant Director of Institutional Research assists the Director with the collection, management, and dissemination of institutional data. The Assistant Director’s responsibilities include compiling and preparing data for federal and state reporting, creating, and updating internal institutional research (IR) reports, and supporting ad hoc reporting requests. The Assistant Director must work closely with other offices across all campuses of the College to support data needs relating to accreditation reports, grant proposals, assessment of student learning, strategic planning, administration of surveys, and other projects or studies focusing on trends in student demographics, retention, graduation rates, and student success at the Culinary Institute. This may include serving on college-wide committees that include input from the Office of Institutional Research.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in higher education, in an Institutional Research office or other position/office with data and reporting responsibilities.
Demonstrated experience in higher education reporting, retention practices, and the use of data to analyze trends and write reports.
Master’s degree in an analytic discipline is preferred.
An understanding and knowledge of current evidence-based best practices in higher education relating to retention, student success, and strategic planning, especially how those practices apply to a medium-sized private college.
