Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness

Job Duties
- The Associate Director is the IPEDS key holder and will coordinate these efforts ensuring that key offices submit their data in a timely manner.
- The Associate Director will be the institutional representative to HEDS and would coordinate other national surveys, including NSSE.
- In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Faculty, be responsible for the CDS and submitting data to US News and others.
- Work collaboratively with Admissions/Financial Aid, and others on data collection for many surveys.
- In collaboration with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness maintain an accurate and current Factbook/Dashboard (work with Academic Affairs on data collection and the President’s office on presentation).
- Design and administer in-house surveys for various constituencies and make survey tools available to campus stakeholders; ensure accuracy in data analysis, professional appearance and data privacy.
- Provide deliverables using professional narratives and results using visual displays and infographics appropriate to the project.
- Assist the Director of Institutional Effectiveness with assessment and other projects as needed.
- Assists with the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of graduate interns, Poet Interns and student workers.
- Performs other functions and tasks, such as maintaining, updating and publishing content on the OIRA website and Moodle site.
- Coordinates the course evaluation administration process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred in research and evaluation, data science/analytics or another related field.
- Minimum two – three years’ related experience in relevant areas of institutional research and some experience with assessment and accreditation.
- Experience with data analysis software, data visualization software and proficiency with Excel and Access or Argos.
- Our enterprise management system is Ellucian/Banner and the Associate Director will need to pull data from Banner.
- Experience analyzing data using an equity and inclusion lens.
- Willingness and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative environment, engaging students, faculty, and staff in the implementation of effective and comprehensive assessment activities.
