Job Duties
Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Academic Assessment and Program Review.
This will be a hybrid schedule (1-3 days per week on campus)
The Director of Academic Assessment & Program Review will be an expert leader and collaborator in the establishment of an integrated university-wide assessment process in support of continuous, data-informed improvement in teaching, learning, educational effectiveness and institutional effectiveness. The Director will be intentional in establishing a model and framework that aligns assessment results with the University’s mission, strategic plan, and fiscal processes.

The Director will be intentional in establishing a model and framework that aligns assessment results with the University’s mission, strategic plan, and fiscal processes.
Scope of Work:
· Lead a collaborative team in the establishment of a sustainable, integrated, university-wide, assessment process in support of student learning and continuous institutional improvement that aligns with NECHE accreditation requirements and the requirements of specialized accreditors.
· Consult, advise and collaborate with school deans, individual departments, and programs.
· Provide expertise and support to faculty, programs, departments and schools on developing and implementing effective assessment plans to evaluate student learning outcomes, and the analysis of assessment data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
· Assist in the establishment of regular review of student learning outcomes in both the curriculum and co-curriculum and assist the academic units in optimizing the use of evidence-rich outcomes for continuous improvement.
· Once the assessment framework is established, create documentation including an assessment timeline and handbook for faculty and for staff.
· Serve on the assessment committee and the program review committee. Attend meetings and assist in developing direction, pace and achievable goals.
· Develops and delivers periodic targeted training and professional development for faculty and staff regarding best practice in student learning assessment. Deliver and/or facilitate quarterly or monthly campus-wide trainings and be available for virtual, individual appointments.
