The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the state of Michigan on February 7, 1966. In celebration, the 2015-2016 AIR membership year is devoted to developing a history web site to highlight documents, manuscripts, books, and pictures that have been collected by members throughout the years. Also featured are published projects that have been undertaken to document the influence and accomplishments of the association and its members.

We invite you to explore this site now, and return often, as additional content will be added throughout the 50th celebration year to ensure a lasting legacy of the association’s contribution to the field of IR and higher education. We also hope that you will contribute to this project by sharing memories, adding comments, and sending in pictures, papers, and other documents that help to build a shared history for current and future members of the association.
