Higher Education Data Policy
The Higher Education Data Policy Committee (HEDPC) is charged with developing and operating a program to identify important higher education data policy issues and providing the Board of Directors with guidance on the issues; with the concurrence of the Board of Directors, taking action to provide the AIR and IR point of view to operational agencies and organizations; and keeping the membership informed on the status of relevant higher education issues through various media. The Committee also creates and coordinates the operation and reporting of ad hoc task forces to advise relevant agencies and organizations responsible for state, national, and international higher education issues.

HEDPC Committee - HEDPC Committee - This Committee serves as a liaison, an advocacy, and an advisory group linking the Association with government and other agencies and the media which collect, analyze, disseminate, and use data on postsecondary institutions through: identifying important issues, taking action and working to include Association members. AIR FYI - HEDPC introduces AIR FYI in an effort to keep the AIR membership and the higher education community informed about developments related to data policy issues. AIR Alerts - One of AIR's services, introduced in 1997, is a publication series titled AIR Alerts. The purpose of the AIR Alerts series is to present the AIR membership with timely and substantive information on data policy issues that may impact them in the future. We encourage members to print and circulate the Alerts on their campuses. |
