Job dutiesWe are seeking an organizational change agent to help implement significant reforms in campus-wide assessment processes and foster continuous quality improvement by nurturing the efforts of faculty, administrators, and staff across campus to create high quality assessment plans and effectively utilize assessment results -- a collaborative team player who has a passion for quality improvement and is sensitive to the prerogatives and responsibilities of faculty regarding curricula and the development and assessment of student learning outcomes. In addition to enhancing assessment efforts required by the Florida Board of Governors, which oversees the State University System, and by USF’s regional accreditor (the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, or SACSCOC), the person in this leadership position will participate in and provide advice to campus-wide academic reform initiatives, including USF’s general education enhancement efforts and USF’s SACSCOC-approved Quality Enhancement Plan.
QualificationsThis position requires a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years related exempt experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of one year of related exempt experience. Three to five years’ experience in higher education or equivalent is preferred, especially experience related to student learning outcomes assessment, curriculum mapping, course and curriculum development, academic program review, and/or teaching. A Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution in higher education, educational administration, measurement, social sciences, or related fields would be beneficial, as would experience with regional and/or specialized accreditation, especially SACSCOC.
