The AIR Forum, the Association of Institutional Research's (AIR) annual conference, is the world’s largest global gathering of higher education professionals working directly in institutional research, institutional effectiveness, assessment, planning, and those who build and support data-informed decision cultures.

This four-day conference includes more than 200 presentations by professionals representing all sectors of higher education and an Exhibit Hall featuring the latest tools and resources to support data use for decision making. We welcome members of the media to cover this conference.

Please email AIR’s Conference Services team at forum@airweb.org for a code to complete the complimentary online registration.

Guidelines

The media is invited to attend plenary, keynote, and concurrent sessions on a complimentary basis from the official opening of the meeting Tuesday afternoon through its closing on Friday morning. Space is limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Some receptions, the Board of Directors meeting, invitation-only events, and special sessions are closed to the media. Media must wear AIR’s media credential when onsite at AIR Forum for entry into sessions. 

Media must agree to and abide by AIR Terms and Conditions

Eligibility Requirements 

We encourage members of the press to register in advance of the conference, as this will help expedite the credentialing process. 

Trade Press/Mainstream Media/Wire Services/Online Journalists and TV/Radio Broadcast Journalists: Only publications that feature original, regularly posted, or published editorial content about higher education will be considered. Personal newsletters, blogs, or webpages do not qualify.

Freelance Journalists: Please provide a letter of assignment from a publication fitting the qualifications listed above.

For Onsite Registration: Members of the media who register onsite must provide identification or documentation showing employment from a recognized news organization or a publication, or a letter of assignment upon their arrival at the meeting.

AIR reserves the right to refuse credentials to those who do not meet eligibility requirements. 

Photography, Video, and Audio 

Photography, video, and audio recordings of the AIR Forum must be approved in advance by a member of the AIR Forum staff.
