1.The Assessment Coordinator works closely with the Assessment Committee and serves as a professional and consulted resource to the campus on matters of assessment as they relate to the assessment of student learning and other college initiatives by providing advice, expertise and leadership to guide discussions and execution. The Assessment Coordinator leads and participates in the design of assessments and the operative efforts associated with evidence collection. The Assessment Coordinator works closely with the Office of Research & Institutional Effectiveness to conduct analyses of artifacts and disseminate findings in a timely, coordinated effort.

Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 30%

2.Provide technical leadership to and for the Office of Research & Institutional Effectiveness on SharePoint, WIDS and related systems. Provide technical and design support for AQIP Action Teams as well as any individuals involved in student, programmatic or institutional assessment by creating monitoring and evidence storage protocols that leverage SharePoint, WIDS and related tools.

Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 25%

3.Complete all reporting and reaffirmation of accreditation documentation to the Higher Learning Commission's Assurance System and any related system(s) in a timely manner. The Assessment Coordinator supports the college in its efforts to prepare and maintain its Systems Portfolio and directs the development, documentation, and protocols associated with these efforts. These include but are not limited to the creation of the mechanisms and documents necessary for the System Portfolio, coordination of the Quality Checkup and Reaffirmation of Accreditation.

4.Manage assessment planning, reporting and document retention efforts by working in conjunction with the Associate Vice President of Research & Institutional Effectiveness to develop and implement an institutional plan for student learning outcomes assessment. In collaboration with the Office of Research & Institutional Effectiveness create systems for collecting and maintaining records for reporting on assessment, manage regular communications about student, programmatic and institutional assessment initiatives, monitor and maintain the college's accreditation and assessment websites.

5.Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications (expected to have to enter job)

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in project management or related area.
Knowledge of student, programmatic and institutional assessment methods.
Ability to work with and analyze data and information.
Experience using data and assessment results in an educational setting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, faculty and staff.
Experience building and maintaining SharePoint sites.

Preferred Qualifications (desired but not expected to have to enter job)

Master's degree or higher with research training.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to plan and prioritize.
Experience with higher education instruction and/or accreditation.
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and theory with the ability to apply them.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide resolution.
Salary range$40,000 - $60,000
