InstitutionCollin College
Institution descriptionCollin College is a dynamic and thriving comprehensive community college serving the north Dallas suburbs in Collin County with campuses in Frisco, McKinney, and Plano. Fall enrollment is currently up over 10% from last fall, and it is expected that the College will enroll more then 31,000 credit students this fall. The College serves one of the fastest growing counties in the nation that is home to several Fortune 500 companies. Toyota Motor of North America recently moved their national headquarters to Plano, and numerous other corporations are following suit. This past May, the citizens of Collin County passed $600 million bond that will enable the College to build three new campuses and two extension centers. The College just won state approval to begin offering a limited number of baccalaureate degrees, so it is beginning the process of working with SACS COC and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to make that happen. It’s an exciting time to be at Collin College.
