The Undergraduate Public Health and Global Health Education Network was formed by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) in 2015 to connect institutions with undergraduate majors that focus on the science and practice of public health, global health, global public health, and those with undergraduate majors related to these fields. The purpose of the Network is to engage leaders in dialogue toward identifying key issues and working collaboratively to advance undergraduate education. The Network now has members in 43 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, as well as Canada and New Zealand.

To visualize Network Membership, ASPPH created the interactive ASPPH Undergraduate Network Map using Tableau software. Users are prompted to select a region and use multiple filters to learn more about members. In addition, users can hover over map icons to identify members and access the Undergraduate Public Health and Global Health Education Network website. Similar maps have been created to discover applicant clusters using data from SOPHAS, the centralized application service for public health, and to track trends in public health degree conferrals using IPEDS data.
