Job Duties

General Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide support in data conceptualization, management, and retrieval from enterprise-wide systems.
  • Apply statistical procedures to data to analyze patterns and trends, and understand relationships.
  • Support the institution’s strategic planning, decision-making, and quality improvement processes.
  • Support department across the College through the communication and dissemination of data resources.
  • Assist with state, federal and other external reporting including ICCB, National Student Clearinghouse, National Community College Benchmark Project (NCCBP), and College Board.
  • Contribute to the production, maintenance and publication of enrollment, retention and completion reports.
  • Assist in administering and analyzing surveys (e.g., student and employee surveys such as SSI, CCSSE, HEIS).

Job Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a research-based discipline, mathematics/statistics, or management information systems OR associate degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with
    1. data management and data visualization
    2. relational databases
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and inclusively within a diverse campus community.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a research-based discipline, mathematics/statistics, or management information systems.
  • Knowledge of standard statistical processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (e.g., pivot tables, data models, Power Query).
  • Ability to construct queries in Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Previous experience in higher education.
  • Experience working within PeopleSoft or another Enterprise Resource Planning software system.
