Job Duties
Summary of Responsibilities includes:
- Research and devise innovative machine learning and statistical models for analyzing student/employee data.
- Responsible for all stages of data science and statistical modeling projects.
- Collaborate with administrators, faculty, and staff on analyzing and reporting institutional data.
- Complete external surveys for the university (IPEDS, U.S. News, College Board, etc.).
- Provide data extract files and ad hoc reports in response to internal and external inquiries.
- Develop Power BI dashboards such as enrollment, admission, degrees, student surveys, etc.
- Present the analysis and results to a varied audience, explaining the technical and domain-specific elements.
- Research new data science developments and how they apply to institutional research.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group.
Advanced experience with SQL, Power BI, Excel, and at least one programming language (ex, Python, Java, R).
Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
