This workshop is designed for institutional research professionals and data providers with little or no formal background in finance or accounting. Participants receive a practical introduction to higher education finance, learn key accounting concepts, and explore how these concepts apply to the IPEDS Finance survey. Topics include the difference between GASB and FASB standards, interpreting general-purpose financial statements, and overcoming common reporting comparison challenges.
