seekUT: University of Texas System/US Census Bureau Partnership

Higher education is under scrutiny by policymakers, media, and a strong consumer advocacy movement who ask, “Is higher education really worth it?” A partnership between The University of Texas System and the U.S. Census Bureau’s Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) program provides national aggregated salary and debt data of UT graduates by institution and major. Examination of this previously inaccessible data is critical in support of the value of a college degree. In addition, the collaboration provides a pathway for other colleges and universities and state higher education authorities to partner with Census.
