Scholarships
AIR is pleased to provide four scholarships that facilitate the professional growth and development of early-career institutional research professionals. These scholarships are awarded on an annual basis.
Julia M. Duckwall Scholarship Program
The Julia M. Duckwall Professional Development Scholarship program, named in honor of the late Julia M. Duckwall, a prominent member of AIR and the Board, facilitates the professional growth and development of early career institutional research professionals.
Edward Delaney Scholarship Program
The Edward Delaney Scholarship facilitates the professional growth and development of early career institutional research professionals by providing assistance to attend the annual AIR Forum. In 2021, the scholarship covers the cost of AIR Forum Virtual registration. Delaney served as the 1992-93 AIR President, 1990 AIR Forum Chair, and as an NCES/AIR Senior Fellow.
Jeff Seybert/National Higher Education Benchmarking Institute Scholarship Program
The Jeff Seybert/National Higher Education Benchmarking Institute Scholarship facilitates the professional growth and development of early-career institutional research professionals employed at community colleges. In 2021, the scholarship covers the cost of AIR Forum Virtual registration.
Community College Scholarship Program
The Community College Scholarship facilitates the professional growth and development of early-career institutional research professionals employed at community colleges by providing registration assistance for the online portion of A Holistic Approach to Institutional Research.
Grants
AccessLex Institute/AIR Research and Dissertation Fellows Program
The AccessLex Institute/AIR Research and Dissertation Fellows Program is a partnership between the AccessLex Institute and AIR. The program is a grant competition promoting scholarship on issues related to access, affordability and value of legal education specifically, and graduate and professional education more broadly.
Affiliated Organization Travel Grants
The AIR Affiliated Organization (AO) Travel Grant program was created to partner in a tangible and meaningful way with AOs and to serve the skills development needs of IR staff who might otherwise be unable to attend the AIR Forum.
