NACAS Seeks Pilot Institutions for New Benchmarking Survey for Auxiliary Services

  • by AIR

The National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS) has announced the launch of Auxiliary Performance & Experience (APEX), a new benchmarking survey designed to help institutions assess and compare the performance and value of their auxiliary services.

APEX is a purpose-built assessment platform developed by NACAS in partnership with Sheridan College and customer insight experts. The survey is meant to enable institutions to gather student experience data across multiple auxiliary service areas and translate that information into actionable insights for planning, investment, and decision-making.

Key Features of APEX

According to NACAS, the APEX platform offers participating institutions:

  • Strategic benchmarking against relevant peer institutions based on size, type, and geography

  • Service-specific dashboards with business-focused insights to identify gaps, optimize operations, and support capital and resource decisions

  • Narrative and text analysis to surface student sentiment, unmet needs, and drivers of satisfaction and value

Institutions can select from a range of auxiliary service modules, with both streamlined “core” modules for tracking over time and extended modules for deeper operational analysis.

Pilot Cohort and Participation

NACAS is currently accepting institutions into an APEX pilot cohort. Additional details about the APEX benchmarking survey, including pilot participation and registration information, are available at https://nacas.org/apex
