As we begin a new year, I want to thank you for the many ways you continue to support and strengthen our community. A new year offers a natural moment to reflect on where we have been—and to look ahead to the leadership and engagement that will shape what comes next for AIR.

I’m pleased to share a brief update from the Board.

At our January 30 meeting, the Board voted to accept a recommendation from a working group charged with filling a vacancy on the Nominations and Elections Committee (NEC). As a result, Ellen Peters will fill the vacancy and complete a three-year term on the NEC, ending in 2028. We are grateful for Ellen’s willingness to serve and for the working groups thoughtful work to ensure continuity and strong representation on this important committee.

I’d also like to remind members that the election for incoming leaders will open in February. Voting is one of the most direct ways members can help shape the future of the Association for Institutional Research—from Board leadership to the NEC. I encourage you to review the candidates and make your voice heard by casting your vote.
