AIR’s Christine Keller Joins National Effort to Reimagine Federal Higher Education Data System

  • by AIR

The Institute for Higher Education Policy has launched a national initiative—NCES Next: Building a Stronger Federal Postsecondary Data System—to rethink how federal higher education data are collected, structured, and used.

The effort brings together a task force of experts from across the field, including Christine M. Keller, Executive Director & CEO of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR). Her participation ensures that the perspectives of Institutional Research and Effectiveness professionals help shape the future of federal data systems.

Over the next two years, the initiative will produce a series of papers and a comprehensive blueprint addressing key issues such as data access, privacy, the use of administrative data, and emerging technologies.

At a time of growing concern about the sustainability of federal data infrastructure, this effort aims to strengthen the systems that inform policy, support institutional decision-making, and improve student outcomes.
