Education Department and ACE to Host November Webinar on FVT Reporting Compliance

  • by AIR

The U.S. Department of Education and the American Council on Education (ACE) will host a free webinar on November 10, 2026, from 2:00–3:00 p.m. ET to help colleges and universities meet Financial Value Transparency (FVT) reporting requirements, giving institutions a direct line to the federal officials who collect and review these data.

Titled "A Conversation with ED: Complying with Financial Value Transparency Reporting Requirements," the session features officials from Federal Student Aid (FSA) and the Office of the Under Secretary—the people responsible for the collection—alongside ACE’s government relations staff. Attendees can submit questions during the live hour and will have access to a recording afterward.

The webinar lands amid widespread reporting gaps. The Education Department initially identified more than 1,900 institutions as noncompliant with FVT reporting; a data file refreshed in late September narrowed that count to about 1,550. The 2026-cycle reporting deadline fell on October 1, 2026, and institutions still compiling missing data from earlier cycles face a January 15, 2027, deadline for delinquent 2024 and 2025 submissions.
