AIR Seeks Practitioner Input on Proposed Changes to ACTS
The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) is preparing public comments on the U.S. Department of Education’s proposed changes to the Admissions and Consumer Transparency Supplement (ACTS), Version 34. To make sure those comments reflect the experience of the people who do this work, AIR invites all IR/IE and data professionals to share their perspectives.
Take AIR’s survey on the proposed ACTS changes by Nov. 13, 2026.
Quick to Complete
- No homework required. Each section begins with the relevant language from the federal proposal, so you don’t need to read the full proposal first.
- Anonymous and confidential. AIR will summarize responses in aggregate and may include de-identified examples in its comments. No response will be attributed to an individual.
Why It Matters
Your feedback helps AIR give the Department clear, practical comments on what the proposed changes would mean for institutional reporting and implementation. It builds on AIR’s recent work with the Urban Institute documenting IR/IE professionals’ experiences with the first ACTS collection.
