Job Duties

The Associate Director will design and implement a comprehensive, data-driven strategy for applicant selection, ensuring that it meets undergraduate enrollment goals for RU-N, including first-year and transfer targets, as well as school-specific objectives. This role will foster partnerships with the Office of Institutional Research, Information Technology, and other key stakeholders to ensure the effective production of research, analytics, and reporting.

Leveraging advanced diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce Einstein, Othot, etc.), the Associate Director will support strategic decision-making across the entire Enrollment Management unit. This includes using data research to advise on recruitment, financial aid strategies, marketing, and communications tactics tailored to various student populations. The Associate Director will also elevate the use of data and reporting to provide deep insights into the enrollment funnel, enabling proactive adjustments to enrollment strategies.

Throughout the enrollment cycle, the Associate Director will coordinate regular updates with school-based associate deans/liaisons, academic leadership, and Enrollment Management colleagues to monitor progress toward enrollment goals, adjusting tactics as needed.

This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
  • Relay scholarship, financial aid, and key enrollment initiative strategies to leadership, advising on necessary course corrections in response to changes in market conditions or internal/external factors.
  • Provide regular progress updates to student services partners to facilitate planning and ensure smooth coordination between the division of enrollment management and campus partners.
  • Develop and deliver a suite of general and custom reports for university stakeholders, including regular reports and projections for Enrollment Management leadership.
  • Help foster a data-driven culture across Enrollment Management and the university, supporting continuous improvement and strategic planning. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Requires a Master’s degree and at five years of experience in admissions or enrollment management, with increasing responsibility in a leadership role.
  • PhD degree preferred.
  • Well-versed in the field of admissions, with a deep understanding of current trends, challenges, and best practices.
  • Exceptional knowledge of how to effectively utilize data and analytics throughout the enrollment cycle to inform decision-making, with experience in directing efforts to produce actionable analyses for these purposes.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop others.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and creative culture in a diverse environment.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a focus on cultivating team growth and success.
  • Superior multitasking and strategic planning abilities, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex, data-driven projects.

Under the direction of the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management, the Associate Director of Analytics will lead and manage the production, integration, and use of enrollment-related research and analytics across all areas of Enrollment Management, including Admissions, Financial Aid, One Stop, and the Registrar. This role will work collaboratively with these departments to shape the enrolling class, refine parameters and selection criteria for admission, merit-based scholarships, and other key enrollment initiatives.
