GENERAL PURPOSE

The Business Intelligence Analyst supports institutional effectiveness by developing clear, accurate, and accessible data resources for the campus community. Using Power BI as the primary visualization and reporting tool, this role focuses on creating dashboards, automated reports, and data visualizations that help departments interpret information, monitor key indicators, and make informed decisions. The Analyst works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate questions into meaningful metrics, and ensure data is presented in a way that is useful, reliable, and easy to understand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Education, Social Science, Data Analytics, Math, Computer Science).
• 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, institutional research, business intelligence, or a related area.
• Proficiency with Power BI and comfort working with databases or data reporting tools.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with statistical or analytical software.
  • Ability to communicate data clearly through visualizations, written summaries, and presentations.
  • Experience with higher education data systems (e.g., Jenzabar) is preferred but not required.
