Job Duties
Duties and Responsibilities
- Use database management tools to manage large datasets to maintain accuracy, integrity, and functionality of college data.
- Retrieve and analyze data from a variety of internal and external data sources.
- Create internal and external dashboards customized to stakeholder needs.
- Analyze, summarize, and present quantitative and qualitative data in multiple ways for a variety of audiences.
- Respond to on-going and ad-hoc data requests from administrators, faculty, staff, and the public by producing tables, graphs, and narrative analysis of student characteristics, enrollment, retention, graduation, transfer, post-college employment, etc.
- Use appropriate research methods to conduct research studies and analysis on topics such as student success, student outcomes, and program evaluation.
- Administer surveys, analyze results, and report findings; assist in developing survey instruments and interview/focus group protocols.
- Other duties as assigned, and consistent with experience and expertise.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer applications, business, quantitative social sciences or related field requiring coursework in quantitative analysis.
- A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in institutional research and in data analysis.
- Experience in developing, publishing, and maintaining data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience in creating documents, spreadsheets, databases and visualizations to prepare reports and present statistical analysis.
- Technical experience with relational databases, syntax/programming and reporting technologies.
- Demonstrated usage of SQL or other program language to extract and merge complex data sets

In addition to the main campus in Centralia, Centralia College East in Morton is a smaller site that serves the needs of students in east Lewis County.
