Job Duties

The Senior Institutional Research Analyst is responsible for coordinating fundamental support that will assist stakeholders at Mercy College of Ohio in making data-informed decisions. This position is responsible for providing and analyzing institutional data in relation to institutional assessment, effectiveness, key performance indicators, and other areas related to institutional effectiveness. This position is also responsible for all aspects of survey research, including design, collection, analysis, and recommended actions.

Essential duties include:

Providing subject matter expertise in advanced data management and statistical analysis, including extracting and using data from systems such as student information systems, enterprise resource planning, and other allied third-party technology.

Analyzing institutional data in relation to institutional assessment and effectiveness and key performance indicators.

Overseeing all aspects of survey research including design, collection, analysis, and dissemination of results related to institutional assessment and effectiveness.

Supporting completion of internal and external reports and surveys, including recurring reports from census and student information systems.

Disseminating official results to appropriate internal and external agencies and audiences, including preparing reports, constructing presentations, completing survey forms, and interpreting institutional statistics.

Responding to ad hoc requests for data and analyses in a timely fashion.

Creating and maintaining a timeline of all recurring internal and external reports and surveys.

Contributing to the development, implementation, and management of a data warehouse and business intelligence and visualization tools.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Social or Education Research (required)
  • Master's in Higher Education, Statistics, or Computer Information Systems (preferred)
  • 3 years of data analysis or related experience in higher education setting (required)
