Job Duties
Bunker Hill Community College (www.BHCC.edu) seeks a dynamic Dean for Research, Assessment and Planning. Reporting to the Provost, the Dean is part of the academic leadership team whose shared focus is the promotion of student access, success, and achievement. The Dean will: oversee the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment and Planning to sustain relevant, high-quality data collection and analysis, research and evaluation; collaborate with division and program leaders in the development and execution of academic and non-academic program assessment plans and processes; oversee and assure accurate and timely institutional reporting to external constituencies; lead and coordinate on-going accreditation activities and continuous improvement efforts; serve as the institutional representative in statewide research and assessment committees; and support the college's IRB and provide guidance in the development and assessment of grant and institutionally-funded research projects. Job Qualifications
Requirements:
• Master's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience; Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience including effective management of professional staff and personnel.
• Strong analytical skills and quantitative and qualitative research knowledge and experience.
• Demonstrated experience proactively utilizing data and research to identify and make recommendations on institutional issues.
• Current knowledge of federal and state higher education policies, issues, regulations, and trends.
• Successful track-record in managing accreditation activities.
• Experience with faculty and staff in a collective bargaining environment.
• Experience working with faculty in a shared governance environment.
