Job Duties
This is a newly created position designed to expand the team’s capacity at a critical moment. You’ll join a two-person special projects team focused on delivering high-priority institutional surveys and analyses tied to sensitive and high-visibility policy decisions.
Working alongside a Senior Assessment and Evaluation Analyst, you’ll play a key role in helping university leadership navigate complex questions using data. This is an opportunity to directly influence decision-making at one of the most respected universities in the world—while building deep expertise in survey research, institutional analytics, and mixed-methods evaluation.
This is a hybrid position and a fixed-term role (3 years) with no plans for conversion to a full-time ongoing position.
Your Contribution Will Likely Include:
Design and execute survey research methodologies to answer complex institutional questions
Lead data collection efforts, including survey development, administration, and integration with existing data sources
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to uncover insights and inform decision-making
Explore data from multiple perspectives, identifying patterns, implications, and actionable recommendations
Translate findings into compelling narratives through reports, presentations, and data visualizations
Present insights to faculty, senior leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders in a clear and impactful way
Collaborate across departments to gather data, benchmarks, and comparative insights
Support project management efforts to ensure timely delivery of high-priority research initiatives
Contribute to research compliance efforts, ensuring data collection involving students aligns with federal and university policies
Partner closely with the Senior Analyst on both routine and complex analytical projects
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 4 years of experience in quantitative analysis, or a combination of education and experience
Strong foundation in survey research, data analysis, and empirical research methods
Experience working with large, complex datasets and applying statistical techniques
Proficiency with tools such as R, STATA, SPSS, or similar statistical software
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, R) and the ability to communicate insights clearly
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to non-technical audiences
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights
Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in social sciences, education, statistics, or a related field
Experience with survey design and qualitative or mixed-methods research
Familiarity with qualitative data analysis tools and approaches
Experience using AI tools to enhance data analysis, reporting, or workflow efficiency
Familiarity with strategic planning concepts and institutional research environments

The expected pay range for this position is $131,105 – $150,622 per annum.
