Job Duties

  • Collect, validate, and analyze institutional data related to enrollment, retention, completion, and student outcomes. 
  • Prepare and distribute routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and briefings for administration and the Board. 
  • Support institutional reporting to state, federal, and accrediting agencies, including IPEDS and the South Dakota Board of Technical Education. 
  • Provide analytical support for strategic planning, enrollment forecasting, program review, and space planning. 
  • Conduct cohort analyses, trend analyses, and scenario modeling to support institutional decision-making. 
  • Assist with accreditation documentation, assessment reporting, and institutional effectiveness initiatives. 
  • Maintain data definitions, documentation, and reporting standards to ensure consistency and accuracy. 
  • Collaborate with campus departments to improve data quality and reporting processes. 

Job Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of professional experience in institutional research or data analysis. 
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, SPSS, or R. 
  • Knowledge of higher education data metrics and reporting practices. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Post-offer criminal background check required 
  • Ability to analyze complex data and present findings accurately and clearly. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and confidentiality. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse campus stakeholders. 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
