Using the Data Literacy Institute to Build Faculty and Staff Data Literacy
Recorded December 3, 2025
To make data-informed decisions about student success, faculty and staff must be aware of available data and trained to use it. To achieve those goals, Wayne State University developed a data asset inventory and selected 27 individuals to participate in AIR’s Data Literacy Institute. DLI participants are now training additional colleagues, growing our data-informed campus culture.
As a result of this webinar, participants will:
- Explain the goals and potential benefits to faculty, staff, and the institution of participating in the Data Literacy Institute.
- Describe Wayne State’s process for engaging diverse stakeholders in building a more data-informed institutional culture.
- Evaluate the applicability to their own institutions of Wayne State’s strategies for extending the impact of the DLI beyond the original participants.
