National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Report and AccessLex Grant
National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Releases New Report
On February 20, 2020, the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) released Engagement Insights–Annual Results 2019, reporting important and timely findings from the 2019 survey administration. Engagement Insights details results from first-year and senior students attending 531 U.S. institutions in spring 2019 as well as subsets of that group who were asked supplemental survey questions. NSSE’s annual survey provides colleges and universities rich comparative data about the undergraduate experience to help them improve student learning and increase success on their campuses. The new report examines trends in student engagement between 2004 and 2019 and explores what matters for academic advising and student persistence. The report also includes related “Faculty Insights” from the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE).
