National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Releases New Report

On February 20, 2020, the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) released Engagement Insights–Annual Results 2019, reporting important and timely findings from the 2019 survey administration. Engagement Insights details results from first-year and senior students attending 531 U.S. institutions in spring 2019 as well as subsets of that group who were asked supplemental survey questions. NSSE’s annual survey provides colleges and universities rich comparative data about the undergraduate experience to help them improve student learning and increase success on their campuses. The new report examines trends in student engagement between 2004 and 2019 and explores what matters for academic advising and student persistence. The report also includes related “Faculty Insights” from the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE).

2020 AccessLex Institute Diversity Pipeline Research Grant Program

AccessLex Institute is accepting proposals for the Diversity Pipeline Research Grant program March 1–31. The grant program awards grants to both execute and evaluate legal education diversity pipeline programs designed to help college students and/or college graduates from historically underrepresented groups successfully matriculate into law school and the legal profession. Applications for programs that display a collaborative approach and strong partnerships with other organizations to achieve the goal of enhancing access to legal education for students from diverse backgrounds are encouraged.
