Job dutiesConduct complex statistical studies and detailed analyses to interpret university data using statistical analysis software.

Prepare and write reports summarizing data analysis findings, including detailed description of statistical methods, detailed analysis of results, and synthesis of conclusions from summary tables to support decision making by the provost’s council and other executive decision-making bodies.

Manage survey collections procedures from the initial survey design, participant solicitation and data collection for various university partners.

Maintain comprehensive mapping of university survey and assessment content to ensure consistent data collection points that allow for robust and meaningful analysis and reporting.

Serve as project manager for surveys, including administering survey software, conducting training, providing end-user support and overseeing survey-related web content.

Consult on research design and reports of other team members and university constituents.

Develop an understanding of and proficiency with institutional research concepts and best practices, complex university processes.

QualificationsMaster’s degree required in social sciences or related field.

One or more years of related experience including database/SPSS or other statistical software experience. Prior experience in higher education preferred.
Requires skills using software products related to relational databases and advance knowledge and use of SPSS statistical software, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently or with a team; organize work effectively and be fully proficient in performing the work assignments defined by their position.

Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.

Give oral presentations of results and analyses to internal and external audiences under the guidance of the supervisor.

Ability to work closely with university constituents to understand and document complex questions and determine needs for surveys or analysis.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work.

Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
