Do Staff Adhere to Standards Dictating Ethical Use of Data?

  • by AIR

One of the foundational principles of our work in data and analytics is the ethical use of data. In the 2018 AIR National Survey of IR Offices, we asked Office Leaders to evaluate the statement, “Staff adhere to standards dictating ethical use of data.” We found that 92% of Office Leaders strongly agreed with that statement and 8% were either neutral or moderately agreed. No Office Leader disagreed with that statement. And there was little difference across institutional sectors.
