Job Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Workday reports and calculated fields to support institutional, compliance (e.g., IPEDS, CDS, U.S. News), and ad hoc needs.
- Develop dynamic, self-service dashboards and tools for faculty, staff, and leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Collaborate with data stewards and stakeholders to improve data structures, identify evolving needs, and streamline workflows.
- Improve and maintain the organization and dependencies of reporting objects and calculated fields to ensure efficient reporting.
- Mentor junior analysts, student workers, and colleagues in reporting tools, best practices, and calculated field creation.
- Lead cross-training efforts and create user documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures to build institutional reporting capacity.
- Uphold data governance standards, ensure FERPA compliance, and contribute to shared data definitions and vocabulary.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to data quality, workflows, and reporting efficiency.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of experience in data analysis, institutional research, business intelligence, or a related area.
- Strong skills in data validation, quality assurance, and documentation.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience developing reports and calculated fields in Workday Student.
- Experience automating IPEDS or other compliance reporting.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Familiarity with FERPA and data governance frameworks.
- Experience with Workday Prism is a plus.
