Job Duties
The ERA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst II to support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and reporting. This role is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and presenting data from multiple internal and external sources to support institutional planning, policy development, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run queries and generate datasets for reporting and analysis
- Create reports, tables, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI
- Conduct statistical and predictive analyses to support enrollment and student success strategies
- Develop models for enrollment projections, recruitment, financial aid, and student persistence
- Respond to ad hoc data requests and support university-wide policy discussions
Job Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, experience with a variety of analytical tools and platforms, and a collaborative mindset to work across departments to meet reporting and analytic needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with higher education data systems, such as – Workday Student, PeopleSoft, or other SIS platforms.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools, such as – SPSS, Stata, R, or Python
- Experience creating dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
- Experience with predictive modeling and forecasting methodologies.
- Experience in applying econometric techniques in a higher education setting.
